Swore I'd never do it again. But did.
last modified: Thursday, July 10, 2008 (5:37:15 PM CST)
Yes, boys and girls, yours truly broke down and actually bought a sketch of one of the Weiss boys. *sigh* (Schu's going to make me think I'm a duck for a week for this.) I felt sorry for him quite frankly because the expression on his face is a combination of pissy and pathetic. Couldn't help it, had to be done. *quack!*

Giving Up pt2
last modified: Thursday, April 17, 2008 (12:11:37 AM CST)
I'm kind of like a bad penny, I'll still be around and I fully intend to leave my gallery up at Rubberslug. Gotta have someplace to display the pretties. I think the only one's I'm going to keep up with faithfully are Saiyuki and Weiss Kreuz (or Schwarz, in my case as Aya and the boys really don't do anything for me.) *ducks Tex throwing things at me* Feel free to email me if y'all need anything or manage to see something I might want. Thanks again to all of those out there who are in this hobby for the love of it you are truly great and have been bright spots in a very bad year. Love, light and merry mischief to you all. Happy hunting.

Think I'm Gonna Give Up
last modified: Monday, April 14, 2008 (3:46:04 PM CST)
Much as I hate to do it, I think I'm going to give up collecting for the most part. I've had one too many bad experiences with other collectors lately and I've just had it.
I do think I'm going to keep collecting for a couple of series and keep looking for my wishlist items but that's about it. I think I'm getting rid of everything else because it's almost impossible to maintain anymore.
I do want to say thanks to Linds, Kira, Tex and a whole host of others who have been so great to me in the past year or so. I sincerely appreciate it. (and no, Linds, this does not mean you get my Hakkai sketches. Hehehe.)
Later.

More on the Situation
last modified: Friday, February 08, 2008 (2:03:45 PM CST)
Thanks to everyone who replied and gave advice by the way. I sincerely appreciate it. I had no intention of sending them the sketch in the first place but it's always good to know that peers believe the same thing.
After posting the first little blurb on this whole mess, I get yet another email from this person asking if I am going to ignore the issue and again accusing me of fradulant practices. They stated that they either wanted the sketch or that they would send me back the cel and demand their money back. There is nothing wrong with the cel, I have pictures and scans of it, it was fine and there was no complaint for the past two months. I informed them that since the communication and payment was for the cel alone that I would not be sending them the sketch nor would I accept a return of the cel since there was nothing wrong with it and the terms of the transaction had been met. They filed a dispute with paypal and fortunately it's been more than the 45 day grace period so it was dropped. I've also contacted ebay about this person harassing me there since the initial transaction was not made on ebay it shouldn't have been brought there in the first place. The sad thing is, if they'd just said "Hey, I'd like to have that to go with the cel" I would have had no problems sending it to them. This whole mess makes me want to sell off everything and quit all together.

Situation
last modified: Wednesday, February 06, 2008 (7:44:34 PM CST)
Had a situation come up that I'm not happy about. I sold a cel a couple of months ago, okay, nothing unusual. A friend I hadn't spoken to in a while sent me the sketch for the cel after the fact thinking I still had it. Since I don't have the cel I really don't have any use for the sketch so I put it up on ebay. Then I get this email from the person who bought the cel saying that I had misled them. Mind you, there was no mention of the sketch in any of my communications with this person. They are now demanding that I either send them the sketch free of charge or their money back. I have NEVER misled anyone on a sale. EVER. I have all the emails sent back and forth, I checked them over very carefully just in case I missed something but there was never any mention of the sketch since I didn't have it at that time. I think this person is just wanting something for nothing but I also know that if I get blasted on the boards I'll never be able to sell anything again. It's just a mess. Anyone have any suggestions?

Anybody Else Have This Problem?
last modified: Monday, January 21, 2008 (3:53:02 PM CST)
I wanted to know if anyone else has had this particular problem. I'm sure someone has but I'd like to know opinions on dealing with it. I'd sold one of my sketches and the person who bought it asked if I had any more from the series I was willing to part with. Mind you, this was at a time when I was particularly broke and was willing to sell my little brother to get some cash. So, idiot me said yes and sent her pictures and such of various sketches I was willing to let go. She bought five more. Okay, no trouble so far. I started to get weird inklings, which I should have heeded, when I said I could only take money orders and she kept bugging me about my paypal address. Anyway, she sent me the money and I sent her the sketches. I try to make sure that any sketches or cels I send out are very securely packaged, usually inside enevlope, then cardboard on either side of that and bubble wrap package or mailing box. So, a week or so later she emails me and says that some of the sketches got torn due to the inside envelope seal. I never seal the inside envelope unless the sketches are small enough to fit completely inside without sticking out. Again, idiot me ignored my gut instinct that said something was wrong with this picture. I told her that I'd refund her money for the torn sketches if she'd send them back to me. She said she wanted to keep the ones that weren't torn and we worked out how much of a refund I was to send her. I sent her the refund and never got the supposedly torn sketches. Tried emailing several times and got nothing back. I know the vast majority of this is my own fault but I'd like to know if anyone else has dealt with something similar and what was don concerning it? Thanks.

I Have RETURNED!!!
last modified: Wednesday, January 16, 2008 (2:57:52 PM CST)
Yeah, I know, most of you never knew I'd left, right.

Anyway, had to sell off a bunch of cels and genga due to being broke this last year because of a lousy, no paying job. *cry* But I got a better job and can start collecting again. Go me!

Anybody else have this problem?
last modified: Sunday, October 14, 2007 (10:27:39 PM CST)
Okay, I've been collecting cels for quite some time now and have figured out that the things I was in love with five years ago, now, not so much. I'd like to sell off the ones that I'm not longer enamored with but I want them to go to good homes and not just get posted back onto ebay or something. Anybody else have this problem? Just wondering.
